Water elements can, and will, vary in price, of course, depending upon the location, size, and construction materials.  Simple water fountains for your entry foyer create wonderful warm entrance ways and are a great way to introduce your home to feng shui.  Water features abound from our merchants, so please have a look for yourself.  We have reviewed and chosen only the best merchants who will be more than happy to serve you, and answer any questions you may have.

Fountains are made of a wide variety of materials, like concrete, wood, fibreglass, terra cotta, limestone, copper, tin, bamboo, glass, stainless steel which will not rust, peel or tarnish, slate, natural stone, marble, resin reinforced plastic and many other materials too numerous to mention.  The sky is the limit when it comes to these beautiful water elements.

Indoor water fountains perform better when used with distilled water, preventing buildup of mineral deposits on both fountain and pump.  Always ensure you have the pump and water flow control included in your order.

You should also try to obtain a protector of sorts which eliminates the buildup of contaminants and sludge, and prevents stains.  Bleach and harsh chemicals can damage your fountain and harm the pump also.  (Some poly resins used for fountains are already sealed for outdoor use.)

Did you know that the ripe pineapple often shown on fountains is the symbol of welcome and hospitality? Just a bit of trivia in case you need it some day....

Chances are good that you will feel better if you have a fountain in your life. Have you been in a doctor' office or a hospital waiting room recently?  Or even been visiting a patient in a hospital room?  You will find more and more of these areas with water elements in them now primarily for their healing properties. Moving water produces negative ions, which have been proven by ongoing studies to aid in the relief of various allergies, healing following surgery and respiratory problems.

Large, free-standing wall fountains and waterfalls, can trap irritants and allergens from the air and keep them from doing further harm.  It is no longer necessary to have a fountain that is a copy of the neighbor' either.  There are a multitude of great choices out there and our merchants have been chosen to supply you with the best of these elements and other water appliances that you might wish to have a look at.

The suppliers on these pages are knowledgeable and always willing to assist you with any questions you may have.  Just email them if you have any problems whatsoever. Use the healing powers of water to make you and others around you feel better - the flowing water sounds are really beneficial in lowering heart rate, slowing your speed of breathing and increasing any healing time.  Go ahead - add a fountain!

Create a backyard wonderland for your feathered friends with a birdbath.  Make your yard a place where the birds want to keep coming back as bird watching can be very relaxing and watching their antics is a whole lot of fun, too!  Make your yard a bird’s paradise by ensuring clean, fresh water at all times.  If you can get running water flowing through your birdbath, that is even greater.  Clean the bath daily – if you won’t bathe in yesterday’s water, they should not have to either.

Make sure the water in the bath is around 3 inches in depth – this would be the centre of the bath of course, as smaller birds cannot bathe in water too deep, so they can hang around the edges and leave that centre section for the larger birds.

If you do not have the garden space required for an outdoor birdbath/fountain, then you should consider the hanging birdbath for your patio and/or deck area.  These are just simple but they do the trick and can attract wonderful birds for you to enjoy.  Simply hang your birdbath from a hook and you are all set.  These will provide a good place for the birds to bathe as they will be protected from predators that may be prevalent in a larger garden area.  They can see all around them while they bathe in your birdbath and will feel safe this way.

If you can find a birdbath that is rail mounted and easy to get to, that makes your job of keeping the bath clean a whole lot easier.  Also, if you can, try to hang or mount a bath that is made of materials that can handle a bird bath heater so you can also enjoy your little feathered friends all through the winter.

Add a copper water fountain to your garden space.  Clean, brilliant, shiny and attracts birds easily.

Table top fountains in your home are great feng shui.  To the right of the entrance doorway is the best location for one of these if you have the space.  Add a blue or black area rug at the entrance doorway to give the chi a little boost.

Waterfalls in the garden or yard are becoming really popular.  They can be small or extremely large.  Best installed by a landscape design company unless you are really talented in this regard.

Waterfalls in the house, on the other hand, are easily found and easily installed.  The sound of running water is a plus for all of us and has been known to improve health along the way.

Birdbath fountains are good for people as well as the birds that visit.  Make sure it is clean and has fresh water all the time.  You can clean it using a bath brush or a toilet brush – really easy.  Just “whoosh” out the old water and add new as required.  Keep the brush under your stairwell or nearby in your garage.  You should use it daily so don’t store it too far from the birdbath.

If you cannot take your birdbath in for the winter, or choose not to, there are birdbath heaters available that are quite inexpensive.  Consider purchasing one for your little feathered friends’ comfort all year round.
